The castle was first mentioned in 1395 as a sovereign fiefdom. Around 1500, Emperor Maximilian I (1459-1519) also enjoyed hunting here. In recent years, the ensemble has been lovingly renovated and a permaculture has been lovingly established on the site. Today's listed palace presents itself as a two- or three-storey building on the southern slope of the Eichberg from the 17th century with a hipped roof.
There are many beautiful original features in the castle, such as tiled stoves, fireplaces, wooden and stone floors, double doors, etc. A south-facing balcony and a ground-level terrace provide the connection between the residential floors and the park garden.
